About Us
Canterbury Players Amateur Dramatic Society, originated in Davyhulme, Greater Manchester, in 1949 and is affiliated to Greater Manchester Drama Federation, Trafford Arts Association and National Operatic And Drama Association.

Until recently, most of our performances were presented on stage in the hall at Canterbury Road Junior School in Davyhulme, and occasionally at other locations in the area for other events such as play readings.

Since March 2007 our new home has been Davyhulme (Wesley) Methodist Church which is situated in Brook Road, Flixton.

Main performances usually run for 4 nights ending on a Saturday and seats are always in demand, so if you would like to come and see one, check the "next production" page regularly and be sure to book your tickets early.

Canterbury Players always welcomes new members, so whether you wish to act, produce, direct or get involved backstage there is a place for you in the group. You can, however, just take part in our fundraising and social events such as quiz nights, BBQs, trips etc. In any case, member subscription is just £10 per year. If you are interested in joining our society or would like to find out more about a future presentation, please contact us.
